Description
Photograph of a Poppy Anemone 'Harmony Scarlet,' lily of the field, that appeared unexpectedly in my Mother's garden with great glory and beauty! It brought to mind the poem "In Flanders Fields" though it rather refers to a Papaver rhoeas, which is commonly called a Corn Poppy.

Between the crosses, row on row,

The larks still bravely singing fly

Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!
Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
