Description
This horse had to be lead into a circular walk before allowing anyone to ride it, normally a calm horse... but on that particular day not so much.
When I was a teenager I'd visit a local stable after school to watch and ride horses. Unlike this one, they were Tennessee Walkers.
The process endured to make them prance was difficult, though the owner never used abuse tactics, nor would he tolerate anyone doing so.
I've often reflected on the stubbornness of a horse in training, as I battle my own at times...
As Christians we can prance in God's glorious light or suffer the consequences of defiance.
Psalms shows a pattern of mistakes David made, but is also show a pattern of finding direction in God - which ultimately uplifted David. He is often described as "A man after God's own heart."
In human form we're bound to make mistakes, sometimes being a horse's hind... with God's help, studying his word, we learn in which way "the way" he'd have us go - to walk more rightly - that we may win the prize!
